Helping an ATR

The following are real words and real life from a current ATR. The statement below was read to the UFT executive board on March 26, 2018. Her name has been redacted to ensure her privacy.

This ATR came to the attention of MORE. For several weeks people at MORE were supporting this ATR to no end. What was most important were the holistic measures in which the people of MORE went about in their support of this ATR. More or less in the way I had written back in January. There was no need to radicalize this ATR. There was no need to manipulate this ATR. There was no need to make this ATR even angrier. There was no need to tell the ATR to record and FOIL and be defiant. However, there was a need to help this ATR in the present and that is what was done.

MORE, working as a team, in fact working for this ATR, advocated for her to the right people. This advocacy would have been unsuccessful if not for reaching out to Mike Sill as well as others. If bridges were burned, this advocacy would have been for naught.

I'm not going to name names. It's not important who gets credit. The people at MORE who advocate for teachers aren't looking for credit, they're just looking to support and assist. It's a team effort.

This ATR has had her school changed to a place where she is much, much, happier.

Good Evening,

My name is XXXXXXX. I want to Thank You for the opportunity to speak at
tonight’s Executive Board Meeting. I have been an educator for 24 years; my goal has
always been to educate children and make a difference. After earning the respect and
support of my colleagues and administration, I never thought I would be subjected to
such a level of humiliation, emotional and career damaging behavior. After being
assigned as an ATR in March 2017, I wake up every day with a positive attitude for my
students despite the inability to build supportive relationship with my students,
colleagues and administration.

This school year I have been in 3 different schools and in that time, I felt only partially
supported in one. When an educator isn’t supported, it’s impossible to feel that you're
performing at your best. After being placed in a new district, I was amazed by the level
of respect that the administration showed the ATR’s and the classroom teachers. Just
as I was starting to build a relationship with my students and administration, I was
removed from that school and placed back into my old district. A member of the
administration by which I was targeted, was at this new school assignment where I was
covering a 1st grade maternity leave position. I was told that I was the third teacher
within 6 weeks. From day one, I felt the demands and pressure from the Administration.
An educator needs time to build trust with the children. Every day, I would start on a
positive note, speak with the children and then the distractions would begin. I had two
very difficult first graders who would fight with each other as well as the other children.
Repeatedly, I would call for support from the administration asking for the names and
extensions of the dean and or guidance counselor, she would just tell me to put the
difficult children with another first-grade class. I was never introduced to the support
staff nor was my class located near the other 1st grade class to escort the disruptive
students. As always, my goal was to educate children, which was nearly rendered
impossible as I wasn’t given the time or the support to build trust with them. I found it
very frustrating because of the demands of the curriculum and the work to be done. This
caused a lot of anxiety and emotional distress and my goal for educating children and
reaching their goals was increasingly diminished.

ATR’s are afraid to speak out as each new school is like starting all over again. I called
my district representative who I have known for many years and when I told him where I
was he said, “Oh my God, that principal is a **** well I would rather not repeat that exact
phrase, but let’s just say it wasn’t very flattering. To date, 5 people have already
resigned from that school this year. I have reached out to Michael Sill and explained the
situation at which time he asked that I put everything in an email. I have met many
ATR’s who are also in dire situations. I have asked many of these people to come today
but they are very hesitant. However, I needed to come here today to shed some light on
the struggles of the ATR’s. Given my educational credentials, and career experience, I
shouldn’t be an ATR. It brings me to tears to think how an administrator with less
educational and career experience was able to attend the principal academy and be
empowered to ruin a career vs strengthen one. I would like to propose that we set up a
meeting in my district with the ATR’s, so we can discuss ways to problem solve and
improve the current situation. Today, I began a new placement which means another
ATR is at the school I just left, this is a never-ending epidemic. Moving forward, let’s
meet to figure out how to improve this demoralizing cycle.

  3. Stop trying to ingratiate yourself with MORE, it's cringe worthy. You do this on the back of an ATR, while contradicting what the ATR inferred concerning Mike Shill. The guy is a disgrace. He has fucked over more people than Weinstein and Simmons have screwed young starlets. You're also inferring that MORE is so much better than Solidarity. I stayed away from Solidarity when I met you at one of the meetings. It had and stills does several obnoxious, self-centered, immature people just like you.

  4. Not for nothing, but why Peter do you attend Solidarity meetings? We know how you feel and no one asks you to leave. You’re obsessed and disturbed - MORE can have you, PLEASE!

  5. Peter is in love with the clown and wants a sexual relationship with Porty.. Come out of the closet, gurl

  6. I hope the ATR referenced above sees how she or he was used by you. Really unethical Zucker. You are all the things you accuse Portelos and his group of being.

  7. OK, I'll bite.

@ 9:10 What did the ATR infer about Mike Sill? Yes, there are things I disagree with Mike about. But why burn a bridge?

@5:16 Why do I attend Solidarity meetings are why DID I? And thanks, MORE does have me. At least I don't email federal judges 300x!

@6:41 How was this ATR used by me?

    1. Dude are you so self involved that you don’t understand that you used someone’s pain to advance your own agenda of touting MORE and denigrating Solidarity?

  8. Why DO you? It makes everyone uncomfortable to have a maniac listening to everything that’s said and taking notes. Or is that the whole point?

  9. I am sure Peter clear this blog with the ATR individual before posting it. Pete is a very ethical person, not like some of the people that are cult followers of Portelos and Solidarity. Check the facts.

  10. Have you seen Peter in action? The first time I meet Peter was at a Bronx Solidarity meeting in the Bronx inside a church. He came in during a presentation by a young lady. He was wearing a long leather trench coat and his hair was standing on end like he had stuck his hand on a high voltage wire. He burst through the door and screams at the top of his lungs "I''VE BEEN FUCKED UP THE ASS!". The guy who attends the church there said he must be there for the Narcotics Anonyomous meeting and probably just got out of prison. He went over to help him and someone told him the guy was Peter Zucker, a teacher.

  11. Pete why you letting a troll psychopathic moron Lucio Celli continue to post here? Funny how the overwight whiny little Lucio pot is calling the kettle black. What a little bitch he is. But we know how deranged his mind his creating his reality out nothing including what he has been saying about you. Time for the world to see how Lucio really is
https://vimeo.com/245092551 Lucio's insanity starts at 52:22 but wait, it gets really really really interesting at 52:35.

  13. Any 9:14 just because Peter's fashion sense might be a little bit different doesn't mean he is not ethical -- I have known Peter for over 20 years. Yes he has messy hair days--- but he never has screw over fellow teachers who were once friends. Not like the people at Solidarity. Porty and Lucio so call friends need porta-potties after they got through with using them!!!

    1. His problems go far beyond fashion. I’m not comparing anyone. His entire blog is evidence of his lack of ethics. I actually think he’s just like some of the stranger characters I’ve met at Solidarity - even worse if that’s possible.

  14. Anonymous 4:31 Name one time you saw an unethical post made by Peter on his blog. I bet you can't. Go ahead I dare you!

  15. 1:21 explained it all.

  16. Not really just your opinion. Peter, I am sure asked the ATR permission to print this so your theory doesn't hold up for this example. So give us another example since this was a fail....

So Peter did you run it by the ATR before printing?

  17. You’d have to ask the ATR. Since the ATR made his or her speech publicly and asked that his or her name not be used ... well you don’t have to be Columbo to figure it out. That should have been enough to stop Peter from using this persons story to advance his agenda. Believe whatever you want, I’m not going to change your mind.

  18. Dear 10:05 and all your other Anonymous posts(Lucio):

The ATR did ask me not to mention their name though the name of the ATR was public at the exec board meeting. As for my agenda, well one can claim that Arthur Goldstein had an agenda my referencing the same ATR here http://nyceducator.com/2018/03/uft-executive-board-march26-2018-atr.html whilst MORE had on it's agenda that night to pass a resolution concerning ATRs. I guess Arthur deserves to whacks on the knuckles with a ruler.

However, if you were sane enough and not just an angry, bitter human being and not completely doped up on Thorazine you would have noticed these words in the second paragraph of the blog post: ,,"What was most important were the holistic measures in which the people of MORE went about in their support of this ATR. More or less in the way I had written back in January." Which linked to this post: http://southbronxschool.blogspot.com/2018/01/helping-teachers-that-need-help.html Please read, if you can, through your Thorazine induced haze. Done? I shall continue.

All I am writing about in the subsequent to the above is how what I wish for ATRs to be helped, to be supported, to be assisted panned out, due to the great people at MORE. If I wish to thank the people at MORE for what they did and how they did it and you have a raging hard on over it, too fucking bad. If you want to project your hate at me and everyone that you feel or claim has fucked you over, fine by me. I can sleep at night knowing I did and continue the right thing.

Now, you will notice that I left names out of people at MORE who did come to this ATRs assistance. If I really had an agenda, I would have named them. In fact,I could have named SOMEONE who really came through that was very very high up on the food chain. But I chose not to.

Oh, and as for me going to a Solidarity meeting. Let's get some things straight. The church is correct. It was in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, practically on the Yonkers line. I went there once, I would say around February 2015. But it was a DTOE meeting. That is when my disillusionment with all things The Clown began. There was a teacher there who had an extremely bad body odor wearing a Star Trek TNG Captain Picard uniform. And one other time, last year or before the UFT election when I showed up. Was Lucio there either time? Probably, I don't recall.

But back to that story with me a the long leather overcoat and the hair. I have heard that story before. It was from Lucio. And the place was the UFT Bronx Borough office and the reason I was there was Mulgrew was speaking. And yeah, I was angry, pissed off, and major chip on my shoulder. Oh and I had on a long black wool overcoat. And you know who I sat with???? It was LUCIO!!!!!!!!

Yeah I was angry and fed up then. I had real worries. Going through a 3020-a and worrying what the future holds. How would I support my family if God forbid something happened? I mean this was real shit, not like you Lucio who got a U for a per session gig and then went completely meshuga.

So if you want to add me to the list of people, like Randi, Judge Cogan, whomever it is that is on your enemies list at the present time feel free to troll away. If that is what it takes for you to feel that your penis is bigger than a peanut feel free.

But, I will soon tire of your baby act. That is a promise. Plus, I suggest you stop going into your world of reality and come back to reality when speaking of me.

Oh, and there better, never, ever again be any mention of my family.

Now, to show you what a nice person I can be here is the link for NY Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains: http://www.nyp.org/locations/newyork-presbyterian-westchester-division There is a 24 hour psych ER there.

    Have a nice day!
