We would also like to take the time to commend NYC Councilman James Vacca for going to bat for the teachers at Bronxdale. Councilman Vacca is outraged that Chase has been allowed to continue on at Bronxdale even while being found guilty of one charge, and two other charges pending.
So in light of this, we here at SBSB would like to announce a rally in support of the community at Bronxdale High and against the perversions of Principal John Chase Jr.

What really stirs my ire is the fact the principal has no tenure, yet no termination was imposed. An untenured teacher was fired several years ago because she was speaking to children about the virtue of believing in God. Yes, I know that there's a separation between state and church. She was fired for this. Yet, principals follow different rules. Nonetheless, Chase's deplorable, despicable, perverse behavior must be dealt with in a heavy-handed manner. He should be fired.

This piece of shit, low-class, unskilled, trainwreck was asked to leave the Oneonta School District (Walton NY) back in 2005. He somehow makes it down to the city and still lives in Oneonta with his family but Monday - Friday .......... dwells in a shit basement studio 3 blocks from the school. What a trashy freakin' dirtbag. This is what principals have come to. The days of a high profile individual running a school and getting respect are OVER!! Now you get a scumbag like Chase who 100% has a history of this behavior (that's why he's hiding in NYC). The next time he screws up (and there will be a next time) - that particular girl (or boy) is gonna get PAID IN FULL as the D.O.E. is liable for his actions. He's a true worm who does not leave his office anymore. His staff is 90% untenured with about 11 out of 14 being young females. He has no Afro-American teachers and is totally clueless. Parents have been calling to pull their kids and students want out! Unfortunately, he is ruining the students' lives at Bronxdale due to his actions and is causing a mess within the entire campus @ Columbus. Come out to the RALLY on Tuesday and dump this SHITHEAD!!!

I read the article too. The odd piece is that he was called by the "defense" attorney. That seems very strange to me. I guess there's a reason he aint working up in Oneonta anymore. The city's a great place to hide out. No one even knows what's going on down here.

Reading the Daily News article has made me decide to attend this rally and bring as many people as I can to send a clear message to the Chancellor that he must remove this principal now.

Anonymous, You missed the whole point. You do not have to use this type of language to get people to agree with your point of view. I share your outrage with the behavior of this principal and he certainly should be removed immediately. But, this is not the type of language that I would expect a teacher or any professional person to use especially in a public forum that will certainly be read by students. It is not whether or not the moderator would delete your posting that makes the difference. You should have never used the language. We all need to remember that we are all models for those who look up to us and we need to set that good example each and every day.

All the $$$ that goes into speeches by outside groups to come speak about sexual harassment is a waste. The perfect example is what you see here. That "by the book" garbage about sexual harassment is a joke. You can say whatever you want to a woman - nothing's really going to happen. The hardcore comments Mr. Chase made didn't even come out YET. Wait until the public reads that he told one of his young staff members to stick her breasts out again as "it made him feel better." It is clear to me that the protest rally that is scheduled for this Tuesday is just the next step needed to build the support to pressure the Chancellor to remove this principal. It is important to have as many concerned people as possible attend this rally. I hope that the news media covers this event and the public stands up against sexual harassment in the workplace.
A female celeb is trying to free up and attend rally to speak on behalf of sexual harassment victims. She will also be reaching out to Mayor Bloomberg I really feel sorry for Mr. Walcott. She will be calling for his job.

Anonymous, Your idea to have an investigation conducted by SED is perfect. Any time that you can have an investigation conducted by someone other than OEO, OSI, or SCI you any making a good decision. Why not have SED conduct an investigation to determine whether this principal has violated SED Regulations which, by the way, could lead to the revocation of his certification and ultimate removal as a principal. The rally was incredible. I'd say about 200 in total and it was great. Very successfuk and clear. This is on every channel right now. Walcott is quoted again as saying he's sticking by his decision as they have their leader in place. This guy is the leader? Walcott is such a DOPE!
