Now, mind you, I have no problem with ABC as an opposition caucus. There are many things that Unity and Mike Mulgrew have done to bring themselves to this precipice. For some reason, Mulgrew and company did not see the handwriting on the wall when they received just over 60% of the vote back in 2022. Fuck around, find out.
But saying, "Bullshit for you is not OK, but for me is OK," just does not cut it with me. Like when someone lives in Mulgrew's colon for six years, advocates for Medicare Advantage, begs for a gig with Unity, and now, because Unity wouldn't hire him, has become an incessant whiner.
Or when that same person, who whined about people being voted out of Unity, stayed silent during the MORE purge of 2018. Yeah, I know—that person didn’t want to lose his seat on the executive board, so silence then was golden.
So when looking at the officers running for ABC, of course, I—and I’m sure many others—want those officers to have clean hands. No conflicts, everything above board. People must remember: there is no reality, only perception.
Which brings me to Paul Egan. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for an explanation of his involvement with Trinity Rock Consulting. I’m not accusing Paul of anything shady or greasy. But as a rank-and-file member voting this spring, I’m asking questions.
I think Paul is a mensch and will answer these questions:
- What and with whom does Trinity Rock consult?
- Is this a side hustle?
- Who are your clients?
- At any point, was this being done on DOE or UFT time?
- Were the UFT and/or DOE aware of Trinity Rock?
- Is Trinity Rock still doing business?
- If Trinity Rock is still doing business, how will this jibe with your elected position?
- Will you be willing to share your tax records from Trinity Rock?
People have inquiring minds, and I’m sure many would like these questions answered.
To show I’m not a hypocrite—I, too, earned money outside the DOE in 2024. I drove for Uber Eats from July to November. I am more than willing to share my W-2 from Uber as well as demonstrate that I have no conflicts of interest.
Paul, are you willing to do the same? I think the rank and file have a right to know.

Is your newest side hustle OPPOSITION contrarian and resident conspiracy theorist? Your questions show your trademark intellectual laziness since Egan would not have to file a conflict of interest with UFT when he tried to launch this business in 2019 because he WAS NO LONGER EMPLOYED with them.
But more importantly, had he done any consulting for any clients he would necessarily have to file twice a year with the state as a political consultant. He’d have to file with the city as a lobbyist, also.
Had you had an investigative bone in your body rather than hate and rage posting, you would have DONE THE WORK to know this and would find no filings. Why? Because he NEVER did any consulting work but rather went back to the classroom.
Your crack team is on crack.

You can see filings there from 2016 onwards.
Be a real mensch — Let’s ask for Mulgrew’s tax filings, next. Sit while you wait and stay away from your computer, if you aren’t connected to it intravenously, already.
Hi Peter, no one really cares about Egan. Mulgrew is the issue. We have to get him out or he’s going to put all retirees into Medicare Advantage . He’s much smarter than he looks in that he’s trying to use Arundel’s political views to paint her as an antisemite. I don’t believe it’s an accurate view; she has come out and plainly said she is not an antisemite . But we have some zealous Jewish Nazi hunters that perceive an antisemite in every bagel shop from here to Miami. (When I heard about some guy jumping out of a car there and shooting two Israeli soldiers on vacation , that he mistook for Palestinians, I immediately thought he was a UFT retiree.) Go on X go or Facebook and do a post addressing the Arundel issue. I think it would help as you do know her well and you do have a healthy (not self loathing or over zealous) Jewish perspective.
@7:40 AM I didn't say he had a conflict of interest, I asked if he does have one? Is it too much to ask questions? For example: What exactly is Marianne Pizzatola (sp?) doing with all that money being sent to her? Is it not time to ask for an accounting of that money? Hey, I think she is doing a hell of a job and I hope she keeps on succeeding. But is it too much to know exaclty where the monies are going
@5:23 (Or the tall Jew who moved from Brooklyn to Five Towns)
No, one should care about Egan. He is running for Secretary of the union, the "Chief of Staff." This man has shown in the past he suffers from poor judgements in his personal as well as professional life. This is someone we want as secretary? I have issues with two others running for officers for ABC. One, a whiny little ***t (If ARISE wins watch this person turn tail and start sucking up to Olivia Swisher) and the other a narcissist and grifter.
As for Amy, I know she is not an anti-Semite. I think Amy is great. I have full faith in Amy. Who I don't have faith in are some of the decision makers for ABC and some of the officer candidates.
5:27? I’m 11:37, I agree and all well and good on both aspects but we have to get Mulgrew out. I’m very concerned with the optics of Arundel’s politics. (BTW, I’m average height (5’10 and shrinking, and I’m not Jewish.) Keep fighting the good fight.
